About Jim Reale
I have always had an interest in drawing and art. From the time I was a small boy l was always doodling. I took several drafting classes and one art class in high school. During the summer after High School I had the opportunity to work in a publication tech house. I drew parts for technical manuals of commercial air planes. One day my boss said they needed a rendering of the plane we were working on, Boeing 727. So I said I'll try and it became the cover of the technical manuals for Boeing. After a few years I had done some oil and acrylic paintings but nothing serious. In 1966 I came home on leave before going to Viet Nam and did one painting. I had not painted until I retired in 2009 and have done several paintings for friends and family. I will do commission paintings and I like painting different types of subjects. I paint mostly in Acrylics but doing some watercolors.
I like painting old cars and planes along with boats and old cabins or barns. I became a member of the Saddleback Art League in Jan of 2014 and entered my first juried Fine Art Exhibition. Out of 83 entries I won best of show with ( Preserving our Flag).
